　　Main Uses

　　Surfactant Synthesis:

　　It is a core raw material for the preparation of cationic surfactants, for example:

　　It reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce Dodecyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chloride (1227 surfactant), used for sterilization and disinfection, fabric softening, and antistatic treatment.

　　It reacts with ethylene oxide to generate tertiary amine oxides, used as foaming agents and emulsifiers, widely applied in the detergent and cosmetics industries.

　　Pharmaceutical and Pesticide Intermediates:

　　It can serve as a raw material for synthesizing antihistamine drugs and local anesthetics, or as an intermediate for preparing insecticides and herbicides, imparting specific biological activities to compounds through the derivatization of the amino group.

　　Other Industrial Applications:

　　As an extractant, used for the separation and purification of rare metal ions (e.g., extracting gold, platinum, etc., from ore leaching solutions).

　　In the textile industry, it is used as a dye leveling agent to improve dyeing uniformity; in the paper industry, it is used as a component of waste paper deinking agents.
